The people over on Google’s Android Team have heard of the upcoming MobileDevCamp here in Helsinki and have generously provided an Android Dev Phone 1 as a grand prize for the best application developed during the Hackathon.
Note: This is the fully working SIM unlocked handset!
We realise that developing something in a day (or an afternoon if you want to listen to the speakers during the first half of the day) is a big ask, but with a Dev Phone 1 up for grabs, we feel this is justified.
Having said that, we are aware that, as developers, you are more than likely to have code “snippets” (or examples, half done experiments etc) lying round on your hard disk, so we are not insisting that you start with an empty project on the morning of MobileDevCamp (although proof that you are a coding deity, and did actually code your application all in a day will be awarded extra points)
Will you be inspired by the porting talk by Niklas announced here?
or by the guys at Idean have written here about how to go the other way (iPhone to Android)
So, are you up to the challenge?
