FAQ

What?
Mobile Dev Camp is a one day event devoted to developing mobile applications on the latest mobile platforms such as iPhone, Android, Maemo.
We are not going to ignore the other platforms (Symbian & S60, JavaME, Palm Pre etc.), but think we have found a way to include them on the day for those interested.

When?
Saturday Febuary 27st 10:30 to 21:00

Where?
At Arcada’s Campus

Who Should Come?
Since the weekend is all about development, we want developers, developers, developers! Experience on any of the platforms isn’t necessary, as the hackathon in the afternoon should help you get going. If you’re an old mobile hand, we hope you’ll come to share your knowledge and demo your apps. Of course, you can still get a lot out of the event if you’re not a developer. So if you’re interested in the future of mobile applications come on out. Finally, we encourage you to come even if you’re not based in Helsinki.

How do I register?
Hit the Signup page

Why are we asking people to register
The main reason is so that we can make sure we have enough of everything on the day (seats, food, coffee etc.)
Rather than make you create yet another account, we are are using the two largest event/contact list sites – Facebook and Linked-in.
A “hidden” benefit for you, is that it will be easier to get back in contact with that
“interesting” person you met on the day.

So whats happening on the day?
subscribe to the RSS feed or become a Facebook Fan, or follow us on Twitter to stay up to date with developments as they happen.
We are currently securing a top line-up of speakers and panelists for the main stage, alongside which we will have space where you can interact with people who work with and on the code as their day job!
Keep an eye on the Agenda page for more information ;)

Will I be able to code on the day?
Although this was one of the quieter activities at the first event, it led to some really cool apps being developed on the day.
We plan to make this aspect of the event even better this year.
